Location:
The Cup n' Saucer is located on
the west coast of Guernsey, close
to one of Guernseys best surf
spots Perelle. The shore break is
located on a steep sand bar at the
base of a large sea wall to the
left of the museum.
Swell/Wind Direction:
For the break to work well it
requires a large NW/N swell with
light offshore winds from the SE/S.
Tidal State:
The break is at its best on high
spring tides but will work on
tides upward from 8.0 metres.
Notes:
The lower the tide drops the
further out the wave will break
due to the decreasing angle of the
sandbar. Without offshore winds
the wave will often lose shape and
dump. This can be seen in the
third picture.
