Location:
Grand Rock is located on the west
coast of Guernsey, close to Cobo
Village. The beach is situated at
the base of a small roadside
carpark, making access easy.
Swell/Wind Direction:
For the break to work well it
requires a good NW swell with
light offshore winds from the SE/S.
Tidal State:
The break is at its best on high
spring tides but will work on
tides upward from 7.5 metres.
Notes:
As the tide drops from the very
top of the beach the angle of the
sandbar decreases and remains at a
similar angle down to mid tide.
The wave is a challenging distance
from the shore even at high tide,
so smaller swells may be required
to reach the wave as it drops of
the top of the beach.
